Eventide does not sell telescopes. It sells Harmonizers, pedals, and plug-ins. Blackhole began as an algorithm in the DSP4000 rack. It is now a native plug-in, a stompbox, and an immersive mix tool.

Gravity, size, mix.
Those are Blackhole’s real controls. Gravity can invert the decay. Size walks from a closet to a universe. Mix is how much of the room you keep. Kill drops the input so only the tail remains.
Fifty years of bent time.
Richard Factor, Orville Greene, and Stephen Katz started Eventide in a New York basement in 1971. The H910 followed in 1974. Blackhole arrived later, as a DSP4000 program that refused to behave like a hall.
